The area

Busot, one of those authentic Spanish villages!

In the narrow streets of the historical center of Busot it feels like time froze a couple of years, even though it’s so close to the coast and the big city of Alicante. The main square of Busot hosts the city hall, a small church and some restaurants. It’s a definitely worth to spend a night there, enjoy dinner on the terrace/ main square. On top of the hill you can find ruins from an old castle, providing an amazing view of your surroundings.

Busot offers some basic stores. Small groceries, a butcher, mail office and pharmacy etc. However, for larger scale groceries or other shopping, we recommend the super- and hypermarkets located in El Campello, San Juan and Mutxamel. These towns are within 15min by car from Hotel Boutique Canelobre. For fashion shopping, Alicante and its shopping malls are the way to go.

Around 3000 citizens are registered in Busot, but only a quarter of them lives in the actual city center. Most of the area is covered by residential areas, such as Llano de los Pastores, Pisnella, Bonalba Alta and Hoya de los Patos to name a few.

The main touristic attraction in Busot, and definite must-see on your stay, are the stalactite caves named ‘Cuevas de Canelobre’ , hence our B&B’s name. They can be found on ‘Cabeço D’Or’ the mountain the can be seen from the back side of our domain.

We’re located at 326m above sea level, which means a bike ride to the beach should be a walk in the park. However, getting back might be a bit more challenging. The area is very suited for hiking, biking and several other sports. There are rental options in the towns nearby.
